Meet Melissa Zecha: The story behind AMP Pilates and Healing
September 15, 2026 · Melissa
Born in Malaysia to Indonesian roots, Melissa Zecha has always felt a strong connection to Indonesia. After building a professional career across Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore, she is now bringing her experience, movement knowledge and healing practice to Bali — with a desire to give back to the country that is part of her heritage.

Melissa’s journey has never followed a single path.

Alongside a successful career in banking, she has spent more than two decades teaching Pilates, developing a deep understanding of anatomy, alignment, biomechanics and functional movement.

Over time, her work evolved beyond traditional Pilates. Melissa began exploring the relationship between physical alignment, personal energy and intention, incorporating her knowledge of numerology and crystal healing into a broader approach to wellbeing.

For Melissa, the body is not something to be viewed in isolation. How we move, how we feel and how we respond to stress are all connected.

That philosophy became the foundation of AMP Pilates & Healing.

A Method Tested in Real Life

Melissa has not only taught these principles — she has tested them on herself.

As a go-karter and racer in a male-dominated field, she experienced first-hand the physical and mental demands of high-performance sport.

Racing requires concentration, reaction speed, strength, endurance and control. It also places significant stress on the body.

Through her own training, Melissa used Pilates, body awareness and recovery techniques to understand how she performed under pressure, where her body needed more support and how she could continue improving.

That experience shaped the way she teaches today.

She understands that movement is not simply about flexibility or strength. It is about creating a body that can respond, adapt and perform.

Bringing It All Together in Bali

AMP Pilates & Healing brings together the different chapters of Melissa’s life — her Indonesian heritage, international career, more than 20 years of Pilates experience, competitive racing background and interest in holistic healing.

The result is a practice that is grounded in anatomy while remaining open to a more intuitive understanding of the individual.

At AMP, Pilates is not simply a workout.

It is an opportunity to reconnect with the body, improve alignment, move with greater awareness and create a stronger foundation for whatever comes next.

For Melissa, Bali is the natural place for all of these elements to come together.

ALIGN. MOVE. PULSE.

A practice built around movement, energy and the belief that when the body is better aligned, we are better equipped to move forward.
